3V's of Big Data
Every business has a lot of data to be stored and generated for different processes. But it is always not possible to handle the data in proper ways. The Big Data is the solution for these problems. In this blog, the 3V’s of Big Data is discussed.
Volume
Velocity
The speed of the data being generated, Velocity. In the past, news channels and radios were fast in updation, is replaced by social medias now. A study by Digital Universe by IDC disclosed that size of the data doubles in every two years. More than 3.5 billion searches in Google, 900 million image uploads in Facebook and 500 million tweets on Twitter occurs every day.
Variety
The rapid increase of data in structured and unstructured data from person, mobile sources. The data forms like images, videos, Geo-spatial, texts, e-mails, location based, voicemails, tweets, streaming data, log data, recordings are generated. As by the term Variety, it defines the classification of data. Different data formats are one of the biggest challenges for organizations.
To put in a nutshell, Big Data is the best option for business to analyse data in future and to find better insights from existing ones. The 3 V’s shares an in-depth information oh how data is created and used.
